At Marble Supreme, we offer choices when it comes to deciding on the thickness of your quartz kitchen countertops. Though generally, the most popular and versatile thickness is around 3cm you can speak to a member of our team if you would like to go thicker or thinner.

Is granite or quartz better for kitchen countertops?

The answer to this depends on what you want. Quartz stone is manufactured and is slightly harder. Due to it being manufactured it is easier to get consistently coloured countertops and other furnishings when using this material. The range of colours is also wider. Granite is completely natural and still incredibly strong; it doesn’t have the consistency in appearance that quartz has but you may prefer the character and uniqueness of a purely natural stone.

What is quartz kitchen worktop?

Quartz stands as one of the most enduring surfaces you can integrate into your home. With its scratch and stain-resistant properties, quartz stone countertops offer a captivating centrepiece that exudes an aura of luxury and sophistication.

When it comes to countertops, quartz presents itself as a superb alternative to natural stone. Notably stronger and featuring fewer pores, it not only retains the timeless beauty of marble but also facilitates effortless cleaning.

Can kitchen appliances stain quartz worktops?

Quartz worktops are highly resistant to staining due to their non-porous nature. However, acidic or highly pigmented substances left for extended periods may cause slight discoloration.

Avoid abrasive cleaning pads and harsh chemicals to maintain their stain-resistant properties. Use mild dish soap and warm water or recommended quartz cleaner for routine cleaning.

How do I clean quartz kitchen countertops?

Use a damp microfibre cloth with warm soapy water to clean up any initial spills. This helps to prevent spills or dirt from being absorbed into the stone. We don’t recommend using any highly acidic or bleach-based cleaning products as these can damage the stone surface
