WHAT ARE SILESTONE CounterTOPS MADE OF?
Silestone quartz is a solid engineered stone that is crafted from natural quartz and bonded with resins to create a highly resilient surface. Unlike other quartz countertops, Silestone contain approximately 94% natural quartz, resulting in a surface that is highly durable and almost completely non-porous.
SILESTONE WORKTOPS for kitchens
Silestone quartz has a low porosity and unique composition. This makes it the ideal choice for kitchen worktops, breakfast bars and luxury kitchen islands. Resistant to spills, stains and scratches, a Silestone countertop is guaranteed to stand the test of time and maintain its striking appearance for many years to come.

SILESTONE FOR BATHROOMS
Looking to upgrade your home? A stylish Silestone bathroom worktop is the ideal way to add a touch of elegance to your bathroom suite while maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Unlike limestone and granite worktops, Silestone quartz’s low absorption rate makes it fiercely resistant to germs and bacteria. Even before you add resins and other binding agents, quartz is relatively antimicrobial. This is why you often find it used for items like face rollers and specialist laboratory equipment.
When you combine a naturally antibacterial material like quartz with resins and polymers to make a countertop, the result is an extremely sterile surface that is perfect for wetrooms and bathroom spaces.
SILESTONE Worktops – SAVING THE WORLD FROM YOUR KITCHEN
Silestone worktops not only look beautiful and resist bacteria, but they also benefit from being eco-friendly!
In order to create a sustainable stone material that doesn’t harm the planet, Silestone’s manufacturer, Cosentino, has adopted the use of specialist HybriQ+® technologies.
These specialist technologies enable Consentino to manufacture Silestone with 99% recycled water, 100% renewable energy, and 20% recycled materials. As a result, you get a sleek new worktop that looks great in your home and is better for the environment. It’s a win-win situation!

FAQs
How thick are quartz kitchen countertops?
At Marble Supreme, we offer choices when it comes to deciding on the thickness of your quartz kitchen countertops. Though generally, the most popular and versatile thickness is around 3cm you can speak to a member of our team if you would like to go thicker or thinner.
Is granite or quartz better for kitchen countertops?
The answer to this depends on what you want. Quartz stone is manufactured and is slightly harder. Due to it being manufactured it is easier to get consistently coloured countertops and other furnishings when using this material. The range of colours is also wider. Granite is completely natural and still incredibly strong; it doesn’t have the consistency in appearance that quartz has but you may prefer the character and uniqueness of a purely natural stone.
How do I clean quartz kitchen countertops?
Use a damp microfibre cloth with warm soapy water to clean up any initial spills. This helps to prevent spills or dirt from being absorbed into the stone. We don’t recommend using any highly acidic or bleach-based cleaning products as these can damage the stone surface
